I can’t launch the Android version of GENNECT Cross (Ver. 1.8.4 or later).

The app may fail to launch due to a change in the specifications of Android OS.
Please revert the version by installing an older version of GENNECT Cross.
- The user storage space is no longer accessible due to a change in policy in Android OS starting in Ver. 11.
- The Android version of GENNECT Cross Ver. 1.8.4 (or later) failed to launch because the user storage space is no longer accessible.
Data must be moved from the user storage space to the app space.
- If you have launched Ver. 1.7.0 through Ver. 1.8.4 of the app at least once, your data will already have been moved, and you can launch Ver. 1.8.4 or later without being affected by this issue.
- If you upgraded from Ver. 1.7.0 or earlier to Ver. 1.8.4, the attempt to move your data will fail due to a lack of access privileges for the user storage space, and the app will fail to launch.
To move your data to the app space, install Ver. 1.8.4, launch the app, and then install the latest version.
Restoring your data
Without uninstalling GENNECT Cross, install by overwriting the existing installation.
You will not be able to recover your data if you uninstall the app.
- Install Ver. 1.8.4 of the app.
- Set “Android OS settings > Security > Install apps from unknown sources” to "Allow."
- Install Ver. 1.8.3 of the app from the following site:
- Launch GENNECT Cross for Android Ver. 1.8.3 and verify that the home screen is displayed.
Your data will have been moved at this point.
- Install the latest version (Ver. 1.8.4 or later) from Google Play.
- Search for GENNECT Cross on Google Play and install the latest version.
- Launch GENNECT Cross for Android.
- Set “Android OS settings > Security > Install apps from unknown sources” to "Do not allow."
