What is the HID settings function?

The HID settings function allows you to change the format used when using the Z3210 in HID mode (Excel®︎ direct-entry function) to enter measured values directly into a form or other document created by Excel®︎.

Ver. 2.20 or later of the Z3210 is required in order to use this functionality. If you’re using an earlier version, please upgrade it. For information about how to upgrade the Z3210, see “Updating instrument and Bluetooth dongle(Z3210) firmware.”

1. Supplementary unit and unit (default: enabled)

Selects whether to enable or disable the supplementary unit and unit.

2. Value display format (default: no exponential display)

Selects whether to express measured values in exponential format.

3. Displayed values (default: all)

Selects whether to output only the first value.

4. Delimiter (default: Tab key)

Changes the character or symbol used to separate the fields (value, unit, etc.) in each set of measurement data.

5. Terminator (default: Enter key)

Changes the character or symbol used to indicate the end of each set of measurement data.
